Xiar calmly exits the Item Shop from the lower exit and sees the slight signs that a simple battle had been done recently. He smiles at this sight. Xiar walks to the upper part of District 1 and sees something shining behind a crate. Interested, he approaches it, but the crate was full of something extremely heavy. He tries to reach his hand behind it and barely grabs it. It turns out to be a small key with a black heart etched into the back. Xiar decides to adventure town, searching for what the key opens. He walks to the exit into District 2, and enters it.

Back in District 1 with Leon, they go to the area near a strange blue safe that was opened recently. Xiar unsheathes Flamebird once again, but had another plan in his head. Leon releases his sword, too. Xiar nods his head, which, in Gabaldon, is the sign that he is ready to fight. Suddenly, Leon charges at Xiar and swings his sword hard toward Xiar, but Xiar blocks it with his sword. Xiar is blown back a few steps from the strike. He swiftly recovers and returns to his feet. He stretches his neck and dashes toward Leon, but right before he reaches Leon, he throws his throwing daggers at him. One misses and the other one strikes Leon in the upper arm, near the shoulder. Then, while Leon is in strike, Xiar strikes him with the sword on his side, but Leon's armor protects him from fatal injury. Leon falls to the ground and Xiar places his sword at Leon's neck. Xiar smiles in victory, and Leon smiles in defeat.

"I have a lot more confident in you. Why are you here?" Leon asked.

Xiar helps Leon up and they sit at the nearby bench.

"I am looking for my parents. I do not know their names, but I could recognize them if I saw them. They abandoned me in Gabaldon, which is full of evil and corrupted men. And, now I reach for revenge." Xiar answered. "And I am allies with nobody, so don't ask to be. I hate all people, they treated me as trash, and most still do. I don't like you, and I don't want to be your friend. Bye."

Disappointed, Leon gives up. He can see the stubbornness in Xiar. Xiar walks down the steps toward the exit of Traverse Town. Leon shakes his head and returns to the second District. Xiar opens the large doors and finds his Gummi Ship. He travels east, finally landing at Olympus Colliseum.
